“Roguelike” Mode for Assassin's Creed Valhalla starts on August 2

Content support for Assassin Creed Valhalla lasts about two years. During this time the game received many updates and

additions. The list of additions will soon be supplemented by Forgotten Saga - a free mode like a roguelite adventure.

Since the franchise has never facedbagels, Ubisoft went through the main nuances of the novelty. Odin will again become her main character. He goes to Niflheim to defy fate and defeat Hel, the mistress of the world of the dead.

Below we have collected the main things from the developers' story:

  • Niflheim is divided into four regions, eachwhich have secret places. Improvements are stored in caches - once Odin discovers them and overcomes the guards, the buffs will remain with him in all subsequent races.
  • Traders are also hiding in secluded places, ready to exchange coins found in the vastness of Niflheim for equipment, runes and abilities.

  • Odin must rely only on items obtained in the lands of the underworld, since access to armor from Eivor's adventures is closed.
  • Each of the costumes prepared for Forgotten Saga is tailored to specific situations and gameplay. One is designed for stealth, while the other enhances long-range attacks.
  • The armor will not disappear from the inventory due to another attempt to get to Hel, but the weapon will change. If you pick up, for example, someone else's sword in the middle of the race, all the accumulated weapons will be destroyed.
  • The mode offers a branching approach - the player will be able to independently choose the order of visiting locations. However, you won't be able to return.
  • Before each race, you need to decide on equipment and blessings.
  • With every death, there is a chance to meet a familiar hero who will try to refuse Odin from his idea.
  • There are also side activities with interesting rewards. Some of the quests will not be able to complete one attempt, so you will have to die once or twice.

Forgotten Saga Coming to Assassins CreedValhalla next week - August 2nd. The developers specified the release date in the comments under the video. The mode will go to all owners of the game for free. Ubisoft plans to reveal more about the future of the Assassin series on September 10 at Ubisoft Forward.
