Former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly said the agency would neverwork with Moscow on new
Kelly said the US and Europe "don't need Russia" because they can handle it on their own. This was a response to Roscosmos' announcement of its intention to leave the International Space Station (ISS).
Kelly said he hopes the ISS will lastas a project until the end of its life cycle - 2030. “I hope we can keep the partnership to the end, but the Russian withdrawal will hurt them, not the US. And the people who work for them,” Kelly added.
The astronaut has previously openly criticized Russia for its actions in Ukraine and has repeatedly exchanged barbs on Twitter with Rogozin.
