Astronomers have discovered one of the youngest exoplanets. She's no older than Hawaii

The planet is located in the molecular cloud of Taurus, which is also called the "star nursery".It

is located approximately 470 light-years from Earth and containsstar-forming region where scientists have discovered a celestial body.The occurrence of 2M0437b coincided with the appearance of the first Hawaiian Islands: the age ofthe oldest of them is about five million years old.and its temperature is 1400-1500 °C.As scientists explain, the planet is still hot fromenergy released when it occurs.

University of Hawaii professor and lead author of the study, Eric Gaydos, conducted observations from the Keck Observatory, located on the peak of Mount Mauna Kea.Over the course of three years, Tron and his team watched the position of the planet and its parent star change.This was necessary to ensure that 2M0437b was indeed a companion star.Adding to the observation was not only the slow speed of the planet's movement, but also the distance between it and the star, which is 100 times greater than the distance between the Earth and the Sun.

Eric Gaydos is confident that long-term studies will help to calculate the orbit and find out the exact ageand the mass of 2M0437b.But for this you will need better devices.

“Observations through space telescopes such as the Hubble or the James Webb Telescope will be able to detect gases in the planet's atmosphere and find out if it has a lunar disk,” he added.
