Astronomers have noticed a super power flash on a brown dwarf

Brown dwarfs - a class of cosmic bodies with a mass greater than that of Jupiter. However, in such objects

not enough fuel to burn hydrogen, but thermonuclear reactions occur with the participation of deuterium and lithium nuclei.

The researchers recorded a flash at ULAS J224940.13-011236.9 - a dwarf located 250 light-years from Earth.

The outbreak was recorded in August 2017 -Since then, researchers have watched a brown dwarf using the Next Generation Transit Survey (NGTS) system, consisting of twelve robotic wide-angle 20-cm telescopes.

Earlier, astronomers from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, for the first time in history, discovered an exoplanet in a binary star system, one of the stars in which is dead.
