ASUS unveils Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro flagships with triple flip cameras

Today, as expected, ASUS officially unveiled its new flagships Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro.

Camera

Like Zenfone 6, it usesA flip camera that can be used as both the main and front cameras. It consists of three modules, which are almost identical for Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro: a 64 MP Sony IMX686 sensor (f/1.8), a 12 MP wide-angle camera (f/2.2) with a viewing angle of 113 degrees and an 8 MP telephoto module providing 3 -x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom. The only difference is that the main sensor and the telephoto camera of the Zenfone 7 Pro support optical stabilization, while the Zenfone 7 does not.

According to the manufacturer, the folding chamber can withstand a load of 35 kg and 200,000 cycles. In addition, the mechanism’s motor has become 40% smaller and twice as powerful.

What else

In fact, Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Proalmost identical, there are only some differences in the “filling”. So, the younger model has a Snapdragon 865 processor, 6/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM, and the older model has a Snapdragon 865+ and 8/256 GB of memory.

Otherwise the characteristics are the same:6.67-inch AMOLED display with 2400×1080 resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate and 200 Hz sensor readout rate, as well as HDR10+ support, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, glass body, stereo speakers and 5000 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging up to 30 Watts and reverse charging. We haven’t forgotten about NFC.

Prices

So far, prices have been announced only for the Taiwanese market. Zenfone 7 with 8 GB is estimated at €600, Zenfone 7 Pro – €800. A global presentation, at which prices for the international market will be announced, will take place later.
