ASUS is not going to abandon the ROG Phone line of gaming smartphones. Next up is the ROG Phone 7 generation, which will try
Unleash the full power of the new generation 4nmarchitecture. Information has appeared on the Internet that the Taiwanese are working on 3 models and several of its derivatives for specific regions (codes in the picture below) – ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate and ROG Phone 7D. If we draw an analogy with last year’s devices, then we are talking about two options on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (7 and 7 Ultimate) and one on MediaTek Dimensity 9200 (7D). All will have an AMOLED display and Android 13, and the Ultimate edition will feature double the amount of internal memory.
The message says that the announcement of the first batchwill take place in the third quarter of 2023 (July-September). Interestingly, some cautious rumors say that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 will be introduced by then, so ASUS could be first on the new hardware, if it exists. So far this is just the first sign, and we will receive more information on ROG Phone 7 in the coming months.
