Asus Launches Android Pie Testing for Zenfone 4 Selfie

Recently, Asus opened a beta testing program for Android Pie firmware for Zenfone 4 Max, and today a new OS

Owners of Zenfone 4 Selfie can also install it.

What is known

The update was released for two smartphone models at once:ZB553KL and ZD553KL. Like the Zenfone 4 Max, the firmware for the Zenfone 4 Selfie is also based on AOSP (Android Open Source Project). Essentially, this is “pure” Android without the proprietary ZenUI shell.

The beta version of the software includes all the main features of the pie, including a redesigned interface, Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness features.

Let us remind you that the smartphone has 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430/625 processor (depending on model), 13-megapixel main camera, 13-megapixel front camera with flash, 2/3/4 GB of RAM, /16/32/64 GB of ROM and battery 3000 mAh. The device initially ran on Android 7.0 Nougat but was later updated to 8.1 Oreo.
