The Game Awards show is the main event of the gaming world, but it has been reported that it will take place this year

without announcements from key industry figures: Microsoft and Sony.

What is known

During The Xbox Two podcast, authoritativejournalist and insider Jez Corden (Jez Corden) said that according to unconfirmed information, Microsoft has decided to abandon its own presentation at TGA. The reason: the unwillingness of the American corporation to draw additional attention to its activities against the backdrop of litigation of its deal with Activision Blizzard, which has already become much more complicated.

What else is known

In turn, Sony adheres to the same strategy, not wanting to give additional trumps into the hands of opponents from Microsoft.

Earlier, Sony canceled the annual PlayStation Showcase. Insiders claim that this happened precisely because of the hype surrounding the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.

The Game Awards show will certainly be bright and full of interesting presentations, but with a high degree of probability, viewers will not see announcements from Microsoft and Sony.

The Game Awards will take place on December 8th.
