BAE Systems has received more than $9.6 million for the production of M109A7 Paladin howitzers and M992A3 supply vehicles

The US Department of Defense has awarded BAE Systems additional funding for production and

supply of M109A7 Paladin self-propelled artillery systems. The customer is the US Army.

The contract amount was more than $9.6 million.Work will take place at the BAE Systems plant in York, Pennsylvania. The contract expires on March 19, 2024. The number of howitzers is not specified.

M109A7 Paladin is the latest upgradeself-propelled artillery mount M109. She appeared in 2015. The howitzer is equipped with the M284 cannon. The firing range depends on the projectile and can reach 40 km.
