BAFTA Games Awards: the best games of 2020 have been named, and Kojima is flying again

Despite the worldwide quarantine, BAFTA held an awards ceremony in the video game category. The event took place

online from the house of Dar O'Brien, and the nominees had to record video messages in case of victory.

Outer Wilds and Disco won the most prizesElysium. The latter received awards as the best debut project of the studio, as well as for musical accompaniment and story. In turn, Outer Wilds was dubbed the “Best Game” of the year, and also received prizes in the “Game Design” and “Best New IP” categories.

  • For artistic achievement - Sayonara Wild Hearts;

  • The best game for the whole family is Untitled Goose Game;
  • Best Non-Entertainment Game - Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to);
  • Best Game Design - Outer Wilds;
  • Best Multiplayer - Apex Legends;
  • Best Music: Disco Elysium;
  • Best Story - Disco Elysium;
  • Best New IP - Outer Wilds;
  • Best Performance: Gonzalo Martin (Sean Diaz from Life is Strange 2);
  • Best Supporting Actor: Martti Suosalo (Cleaner Ahti from Control);
  • For technical achievements - Death Stranding;
  • Mobile Game of the Year: Call of Duty: Mobile.
