Bang& Olufsen Beosound Emerge: smart speaker in the form of a book with support for Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and Spotify Connect for $699

Danish company Bang & Olufsen has announced its new wireless speaker, the Beosound Emerge.

New

boasts an unusual appearance,which resembles a hardback book. The device has two versions. The first received a black color, a polymer body, and a base made of anodized aluminum with pearlescent treatment. The second, in turn, has a gold color, as well as a side panel made of oak and Kvadrat textiles.

As for the filling, the Beosound Emergeequipped with a 4-inch woofer, 1.45-inch mid-range and 0.6-inch tweeter. Each driver has its own amplifier. In the case of the low-frequency one, its power is 60 W, and the other two have 30 W each. The new product works via Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. In addition, the device has Ethernet and a USB-C charging port. The speaker supports Google Assistant, as well as Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and Spotify Connect technologies for fast audio transmission.

Price and when to wait

Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge is now availableon sale. The Black Anthracite version costs $699, and the Gold Tone version with oak panel costs $899. A little later, a model without built-in Google Assistant will appear on the market.
