What is known
Population:One was launched in October 2020 and immediately went viral with an average score of over four stars on the Quest Store based on 11,000 ratings. The game is also available on Steam, where it has received just over 2,000 reviews. It seems that the developers now want to attract a large audience by making it free, as Krafton did with PUBG: Battlegrounds. Those who did buy the game with money may find some consolation in the fact that after the game is made free-to-play, they will receive a set of in-game items and a banana costume (fortnite???).
And the game could really take off, as it recently added a sandbox mode with some metaverse aspects and may even become a competitor to Horizon Worlds.
