What is known

The Turkish rocket was presented just over a yearback. It is aimed at destroying enemy ground and sea targets. The developer is the company Roketsan. Cakir is powered by a Kale Arge KTJ-1750 turbojet engine.

The rocket weighs 275 kg.The mass of the warhead is 70 kg. In flight, Cakir is capable of reaching speeds up to Mach 0.85 (1040 km / h), i.e. about 200 km/h less than the speed of sound. The maximum launch range is 150 km.

The tests were announced by the Head of the Defense Departmentindustry Ismail Demir. According to him, the Bayraktar Akinci unmanned aerial vehicle launched a Cakir missile as part of the tests, which successfully hit the target.

Baykar is actively testing the drone. About a month ago, Bayraktar Akinci hit a target at a distance of 140 km using a TRG-230-IHA supersonic missile with a maximum launch range of 150 km.
