Beeline was fined 1 million rubles for advertising SMS

The Russian operator Beeline was fined 1 million rubles for violating the Advertising Law under Part 1 of Article 14.3

Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The fact that the company distributed advertising messages without the consent of subscribers is reported on the official website of the Moscow department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

According to data published by the Moscow departmentFAS, the company PJSC VimpelCom, which provides services under the Beeline brand, was previously fined under the decisions of other territorial departments of the FAS Russia. Then the operator paid more than 3 million rubles.

Now, given that Beeline oftenneglects the requirements of the legislation on advertising and for the facts of distributing advertising without the consent of the subscriber, the operator was given the maximum administrative penalty – a fine of 1 million rubles.
