Better Late Than Never: Moto Z2 Play Smartphone Starts Getting Android 9 Pie Update

According to XDA-Developers, Motorolaannounced the Android 9 Pie firmware for the mid-budget smartphone of 2017 - Moto Z2 Play. The update has so far been received by device users in Brazil. A little later it will appear in other countries.

The firmware contains all the basic innovations of the "pie". For example, a new system interface, adaptive brightness control, an updated Do Not Disturb mode, control gestures, and much more.

To recap, the Moto Z2 Play has 5.5-inch Full HD display with Super AMOLED matrix. The device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of ROM, a 12 MP main camera, a 5 MP front camera with flash, and a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging. Initially, the smartphone ran on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
