Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is ready to spend billions of dollars to create a vaccine against
Gates told reporters that hecharities can mobilize faster to fight coronavirus than the government. The billionaire said that he had selected seven candidates for a vaccine against the virus. Even though not everyone will ultimately be effective, Gates believes this is the right thing to do. It’s better to fund all the ventures now than to first ask, “Okay, which vaccine works?” and waste time.
Bill thinks vaccine development may takeup to 18 months. At the same time, Gates will spend several billion dollars on the creation of the necessary devices and infrastructure. However, the billionaire is confident that this amount is insignificant in a situation where trillions of dollars are at stake.
