Microsoft founder, billionaire and philanthropist Bill Gates wrote a series of depressing tweets in which he listed
“Several major global failures over the past few years have left many people discouraged and wondering if the world is destined to get even worse,” Bill Gates began.
He noted that one of the biggest failures inHistory has become a pandemic. The entrepreneur called the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine a huge tragedy for the whole world. At the same time, climate change has turned out to be worse than even predicted by models, and the US has taken a big step back on gender equality and women's well-being by abolishing guaranteed abortion rights.
“But I'm still optimistic.These setbacks are taking place in the context of two decades of historic progress, and I believe it is possible to mitigate the damage and return to the progress that the world has made,” Gates added.
