BlackBerry smartphone with display keyboard and futuristic design showed on concept renders

The American company OnwardMobility, a new licensee of BlackBerry smartphones, announced in the middle of last year

in a press release that it is developing a smartphoneBlackBerry 5G with a physical keyboard. It was planned to launch in the first half of 2021 in North America and Europe. The second half of the year has already arrived, and the smartphone has not yet been presented. In March, in one of his interviews, the CEO of OnwardMobility only noted that the gadget will receive a first-class camera. Graphic designer Niel D has taken things a step further and created a series of concept renders of the New B Berry, a smartphone we'll likely never get.

What showed

It is worth admitting that the smartphone in the renderings looksquite attractive, and most importantly, it stands out favorably against the background of identical externally modern “tubes”, which soon will not be distinguished by the manufacturers themselves. The New B Berry has the distinctive round design of earlier BlackBerry models, straight frame edges like the iPhone 12, a small hole in the display for the front camera, a single rear camera, and a gold-tone glass cover with a black New B Berry logo.

The designer believes that BlackBerry shouldreconsider the feasibility of a full keyboard. Therefore, the smartphone in its renderings is equipped with an on-screen keyboard - it is more convenient and does not take up useful space when not needed.
