Blizzard didn't have time: the release date of Warcraft 3: Reforged was postponed to 2020, and here's why

Blizzard promised fans to release Warcraft 3: Reforged at the end of 2019. Now the company has announced that it is not keeping up

and postpones the game's release to 2020.

When to expect

Blizzard announced on the official website thatWarcraft 3: Reforged will be released on January 28, 2020. The reason for the transfer has already become a classic - the developers need more time for the final touches, as the company wants to maintain a “high standard of quality.”

“Although we have made every effort toTo prepare for the release of the Reforged version before the end of the year, as we approached the end of development, it became clear that additional time would be needed for the finishing touches. As always, we need to maintain the high standard of quality that players expect from us,” the developers write.

For now, pre-order owners can playinto the multiplayer part of the project as part of beta testing. Gamers have access to all races, as well as one-on-one and two-on-two matches. The release version of Reforged will include content from Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne.

Let's remember that in addition to graphics, Blizzard plannedand slightly rewrite the plot to remove inconsistencies with the events of World of Warcraft. Ultimately, the idea was abandoned at the request of fans. So in the updated version, players will find improved graphics and new voices of the characters.
