Blizzard will release a “remaster” of Overwatch with a massive hero rebalance

World of Warcraft Classic returned gamers to the classic look of the legendary MMO with old mechanics, balance, and more.

At the same time, Overwatch, another popular Blizzard game, is moving forward and will soon receive a new big update.

What is known

The developers called it patch 1.41 "remastered", promising a heavy update that will affect the balance of the heroes. The developers note that the update has already arrived on the Overwatch test PC servers, but not all changes can reach PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The rebalance will affect 13 heroes. Thus, the cooldown of D.Va’s Matrix Defense will increase to 16%, and Orisa’s Protective Barrier will now cool down for 10 seconds, instead of 9. Newbie Sigma’s Kinetic Grapple can no longer block Whip Strike and Chain Hook, and Gravity Well now only keeps opponents in the air 0.9 seconds. Blizzard has also reduced the cooldown of Experimental Barrier.

The full list of changes can be found on the Blizzard forum.

The developers will also deal with technicalproblems. For example, we fixed a bug when displaying destruction on Winston's Defense Dome. An issue with the player profile was also resolved, due to which the hero’s win percentage was not displayed in seasonal competitions in arcade mode.
