Bloomberg: Elon Musk changed his mind and buys Twitter again

The news agency, citing sources familiar with the negotiations, reports that Elon Musk

sent to Twitter a new proposal to acquire the social network. As in the original offer, we are talking about a purchase at a price of $54.20 per share. The total amount of the transaction will be $44 billion.

The news had an immediate impact on the stockmarket. Shares of Twitter, which were hit hard when the businessman withdrew his buyout offer, rose 12.7% to $47.93, while Tesla's shares are up to $245.27 at press time and are continuing to rise. Exchanges have reportedly suspended trading in the social network's shares pending the deal.

Tesla CEO first announcedпокупке Twitter в апреле.

Twitter disagreed with the argumentsentrepreneur and filed a lawsuit in Delaware court demanding to force Musk to buy the company. In its lawsuit, the company said Musk's alleged concerns about fake accounts were just a pretext for abandoning the deal as the stock market began to decline.

Previously, Hi-Tech spoke in detail about the terms of the initial deal and why Musk needed a social network.
