Boeing receives $1.9 billion to build AH-64E Apache helicopters, AGM-114R Hellfire missiles and APKWS-GS

Boeing received a contract to produce the first AH-64E Apache helicopters for the US Army and allies. The company will

supply them along with anti-tank missiles.

The American manufacturer received a contract for184 helicopters. The amount amounted to $1.9 billion and may increase to $3.8 billion. The agreement provides for the production of the first AH-64E Apache helicopters for Australia.

In 2021 US Department of Stateapproved the sale of 29 helicopters for the Australian Army in the amount of $ 3.5 billion. The US Army will receive 115 units of AH-64E Apache with the ability to activate an option to purchase another 15 helicopters.

Since 1984, the American army and alliesreceived over 2,500 AH-64E Apaches. The new contract involves the supply of attack helicopters along with AGM-114R Hellfire and APKWS-GS anti-tank missiles.
