Boom creates the supersonic aircraft Overture - the world's first airliner with speeds up to 2100 km/h

The company Boom Supersonics is working on creating the world's fastest airliner, which will be called

Boom Supersonics has published a new batch of renders of the upcoming new product. The future aircraft will receive four engines, an updated fuselage and fewer passenger seats compared to previously announced data.

The company built a demoOverture at a scale of 1 to 3. It is called XB-1 and before the end of the year will pass the first flight tests. The construction of the final prototype of the airliner will begin with the creation of a steel frame measuring 60 x 30 m.

The route from New York to London is expectedOverture will overcome in 3.5 hours. The maximum speed of the aircraft over water will be Mach 1.7 (2100 km / h), and above the ground - about Mach 1 (1235 km / h). Boom Supersonics is partnering with Northrop Grumman to design customized versions of the aircraft for the military.
