Boston Dynamics has equipped the Handle robot with a suction cup for lifting loads

Handle was introduced in 2017, and the company calls it a “highly dexterous robot on wheels.” The robot overcomes any

uneven surfaces, goes down coveredsnow-covered slopes, and its wheel-legs work independently of each other: if the terrain changes sharply under one, this will not prevent it from moving further. Handle is capable of jumping over obstacles and even jumping onto meter-long tables.

In the new modification, engineers removed the topthe limbs of the robot, replacing them with a suction cup, and also added a counterweight to the back of the device. It allows the robot to lift loads weighing up to 15 kg while maintaining stability.

Boston Dynamics has previously taught its robot, Spot, to dance under funk - at least it falls into the rhythm of the song Uptown Funk by the musicians Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.
