Brazil fines Apple $19M for selling iPhone without chargers

A month earlier, Brazil banned Apple from selling iPhones on its territory without the included chargers.

rejecting the ecological explanation for suchpractices of the apple giant. Yesterday, a Brazilian court fined Apple 100 million reais (about $19 million) for violating this ban. Apparently, the Cupertino team decided to ignore the September ruling and continued selling iPhones with a reduced package despite the threat of large fines.

Apple has already announced its intention to appeal thethis is a decision, but it is far from a fact that it will be satisfied. All this seems to be that the financial benefit from the sale of cut-down iPhone sets more than offsets the fines imposed by the Brazilian courts, which means that Apple does not have a good reason to change the iPhone set for the Brazilian market.
