Breaking bad: OnePlus is preparing a clone of the OPPO budget

OPPO, having taken full control of the development of OnePlus, never ceases to amaze fans with its new vision of the brand.

Once started with the release of “killersflagships”, today's OnePlus is churning out strange middling ones and, judging by a new document from the FCC database, outright budget ones. In addition to the attached letter from OPPO, in which the company notifies the regulator of its intention to sell the existing model on behalf of OnePlus, there is another document that literally describes the rebranding process.

Configuration of the new OnePlus CPH2469

Thus, the model CPH2469 (OPPOA57), which should be renamed CPH2469, “replace the battery cover with a new one with the OnePlus logo”, replace the original “set of cameras (13+2 MP) with 50+2 MP”, and the complete “Replace the USB charging cable with a red one”. In the software part, the change will be the “transition to OxygenOS 12.1”. The remaining parameters of the device will apparently remain the same: MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, 5000 mAh battery with 33W charging and 6.56″ IPS screen with modest HD+ resolution.
