The Swedish company Cake has announced an electric bicycle that has the same range as a car.
What is known
Our hero is called Åik (pronounced "Oik").It is an electric cargo bike. At the same time, in the United States it was equated with Class 2, i.e. You do not need a driver's license to drive a vehicle.

Åik has an aluminum frame and allowsadjust the height of both the seat and the steering wheel. The bike is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 750 Wh, which provides a range of about 120 km. However, two batteries can be attached to the back, which will allow it to travel 360 km. This is comparable to an old Model S electric car equipped with a 60 kWh battery.
Åik can reach speeds of 32 km/h thanks to500W motor. But this is for the US version. In Europe, a more modest modification will be sold - 25 km / h and 250 W, respectively. The maximum load capacity is 80 kg. The bike itself weighs 30 kg.
Price and when to wait
The cost of Åik in the US will be $6470. In Europe, the bike will cost a little more - €6470 ($6890). Sales will start in May.
