Loved the Black Ops Cold War single player campaignmost journalists. Even though Treyarch didn’t come up with something radically new, well-choreographed action and interesting tasks do their job. As COG Connected noted, stealth missions may even be reminiscent of Dishonored.
The story will also force players to do difficultelections, but ultimately they have little impact on the narrative. The entire campaign takes 5-6 hours to complete and has two endings. So fans will have an incentive to play through the game multiple times.

Multiplayer turned out to be not so straightforward. As the author of Attack of the Fanboy writes, fans of last year's Modern Warfare are unlikely to like the multiplayer mode of Black Ops Cold War. While Infinity Ward focused on realism and tactics, Treyarch returned to their roots with a more arcade-style shooter.
Additionally, the weapons in Black Ops Cold War feel more plastic. In this regard, Modern Warfare also failed to surpass it.
At the same time, maps at the launch of Black Ops Cold Warturned out to be more diverse, offering the player both compact and larger training grounds for battles. Yet Treyarch only added ten locations at launch: eight for classic multiplayer modes, and two for Fireteam.
