Call of Duty for everyone: Activision Blizzard games will continue to be released on the PlayStation after the merger with Microsoft

When Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Activision Blizzard last year, gamers

suggested that from a certain point the games of the American developer will no longer be released on PlayStation consoles, since this device is from a direct competitor of Microsoft.

There has been much speculation about this, and,finally, an official clarification was received: from a financial point of view, it is not profitable for Microsoft to make such popular franchises, such as Call of Duty, exclusive to their platforms. This is directly stated in the documents published by the Brazilian regulator, which is studying the legality of the deal between Activision Blizzard and Microsoft.

In addition, representatives of the Xbox brand have repeatedly emphasized the importance of player comfort, and that it does not matter to them which devices gamers prefer to play on.

Taking into account the above arguments, we can state that for at least the next few years, PlayStation users will not be left without Call of Duty and other Activision Blizzard projects.

Let us remind you that the amount of the transaction between Activision Blizzard and Microsoft will be a record 68.7 million dollars.
