Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II for Xbox has serious crossplay issue

Today Modern Warfare II officially launched and there seemed to be no serious problems, but there are still some problems.

Players who purchased the game on Xbox Series S or X have noticed that they cannot turn off cross-play with players from other platforms.

What is known

The crossplay feature was introduced in the franchisea few years ago and it's truly a wonderful thing. Now it doesn’t matter what platform your friends have: Xbox, PlayStation or PC – you'll still be able to play with them online, but not everyone likes this option, so some players leave the feature turned off.

But in the new Modern Warfare, players on consolesXbox for some reason took away this opportunity. While the issue may seem minor, there are actually many arguments against crossplay. For example, console players are coming to play on controllers and will be significantly less mobile than their PC enemies. Also, rogue software is widespread on PC, which will give its owners a certain advantage over others, while on consoles this is basically impossible. And that's really a problem for Xbox owners, because on PS4 and PS5, users were given the option to choose whether they wanted to play with players from other platforms or not. We hope that the developers will fix this problem as soon as possible.
