Capcom overlooked: images of the Resident Evil 3 remake “lit up” in the PlayStation Store database

Only in November did the Internet start talking about a remake of Resident Evil 3 when the first confirmations appeared on the Internet,

indicating the game's imminent release.

What is known

Gamestat website that tracks updateson the PlayStation Network, noticed the covers of the Resident Evil 3 remake for the PlayStation Store. Moreover, publications for Europe and Japan immediately “lit up”. Although the versions differ in name, the updated Nemesis appeared on the cover of the editions, as did the main character Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira.

The Resident Evil 3 remake has yet to receive its own PlayStation Store page, but it looks like Capcom is gearing up for the announcement and the launch of pre-orders.

Along with RE3 covers, the resource also noticed postersProject Resistance, which will hit store shelves under the name Resident Evil Resistance. Who would doubt that. Let us remember that Capcom is working on a branch of the series with asymmetrical multiplayer. In Resistance, four players must fight off hordes of zombies and avoid traps set by another living player, playing the role of a villain.

The covers of Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Resistance appeared in the PSN database almost simultaneously. It's possible that Capcom is even planning to release both projects side by side.

Fans have been waiting

People are seriously talking about a remake of Resident Evil 3at the end of October, when several publications at once reported that the project was under development. According to sources, the game could be released as early as September 2020, in honor of the 21st anniversary. Capcom waited until “coming of age” to remake Resident Evil 2 and may do the same with the third part.

Capcom has not yet officially announced the game.but hinted at a release back in January with the release of a remake of Resident Evil 2. At the time, a company representative said that the development of a sequel depended on the reaction and support of fans. Fans took the hint and sold 4.2 million copies of the game, which was a signal for Capcom.
