CAT S52: “indestructible” smartphone with protection MIL-STD 810G, IP68, Helio P35 processor and a price tag of 500 euros

The company Bullitt, which produces “indestructible” Caterpillar smartphones, presented its next

new product - CAT S52.

What is known

Like previous models, the new device receivedaluminum frame and rubberized back panel. The device case has a thickness of 9.69 mm and is protected according to the military standard MIL-STD 810G. It can also be submersed in water thanks to its IP68 certification.

The CAT S52 screen is covered with tempered Gorilla glassGlass 6. By the way, the display here has a 5.65-inch IPS matrix and HD+ resolution (1440×720p). The device's performance is driven by an eight-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM (can be expanded with a microSD card).

The smartphone also has a 3100 battery.mAh with USB-C port and fast charging. According to the company, one battery charge is enough for 23 hours of calls. The new product also received an NFC module for Google Pay contactless payments, a fingerprint scanner, a 12 MP main camera with a Sony module and an 8 MP front camera.

The device works out of the box on Android 9 Pie, but the company promised to upgrade the device to Android 10 in the near future.

Price and when to wait

CAT S52 will appear on the shelves of European stores in November. They will ask for 500 euros for it.
