In Cyberpunk 2077, players will have an open world to explore, but CD Projekt's new project won't be able to boast

Project producer Richard Borzimovski talkedwith a GamesRadar journalist, talking about the size of the cyberpunk world. According to the developer, if you compare Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 in kilometers, then the world of The Witcher will be larger, but Cyberpunk will win in quality.
"If you look at the net area inkilometers, then Cyberpunk 2077 will be slightly smaller than The Witcher 3, but this is a matter of content density. We took the world of The Witcher and compressed it, removing the wild spaces,” Borzimowski said.
According to the developer, The Witcher had bigand small towns with plains and forests between them. In Cyberpunk 2077, the player will operate within the confines of Night City, so the spaces had to be reduced to make the city lively and vibrant. In addition, the world of Cyberpunk will be more vertical, and the character will be able to enter multi-level buildings, exploring them like dungeons.
“It’s an integral part of the setting.Essentially, the city is the protagonist, if you want to call it that, so it needs to be dense. It wouldn’t give us the effect we’re going for if the city wasn’t believable [...] so we filled it with life,” Borzymowski added.
