
Dell decided not to miss CES 2020 by arriving at the show with a prototype of a portable gaming computer.

Concept UFO resembles a larger versionNintendo Switch. The device has a similar tablet form factor with detachable controllers on the sides. In addition, gamepads also connect to each other, creating one large controller. At the same time, unlike Switch, Concept UFO gamepads are attached to the screen with magnets.
Dell decided to take inspiration from more than just the caseNintendo consoles, but also the interface. Concept UFO runs on Windows 10, but instead of the standard workspace, it launches the Dell shell where games are displayed.

The company hasn't revealed what's inside.portable PC, but the device turned out to be larger than the same Nintendo Switch. At a minimum, Concept UFO received an 8-inch display, which already affected its dimensions.
According to Engadget, in F1 handheld modeRacing runs at 30 FPS. Those present were also allowed to play World War Z, but in “doc mode”, where the image is displayed on the TV screen. Like the Switch, the Concept UFO delivers more performance in this position.
Among the main shortcomings, journalists highlight the controller buttons. The same “triggers” have too much pressing stroke, and they are pressed too hard.
However, this is just a prototype, and Dell has no plans to release the UFO on store shelves any time soon.
