There is no shortage of ways to download YouTube videos on the Internet. Special websites, browser plugins

or a banal screencast recording - all methods are good in their own way. Now YouTube is finally offering an easier solution for desktop users: the “Download” button.

According to the source, she is currentlyAvailable as an experimental feature for Premium subscribers. This is not surprising since YouTube already offers video downloads for Premium subscribers from mobile devices.

After enabling this feature, you will see a buttondownloads next to the share option under the video or next to the three-dot menu when viewing. You can choose video resolutions from 144p to 1080p – unfortunately, no 4K (yet). At the moment there are no restrictions on the size of the downloaded file, except for the storage available on your device, of course.
