At the end of winter 2023, the Chinese army conductedsuccessful testing of a hypersonic ballistic missile. As part of the tests, the rocket covered 2100 km in 12 minutes. This means that the flight speed was 10,500 km/h, which corresponds to Mach 8.5. The maximum launch range of the DF-27 reaches 5000-8000 km.

According to The Washington Post, the Chinese armywas able to deploy several missiles, including modifications capable of destroying not only ground targets, but also ships. How many DF-27 missiles China has in total is not specified at the moment.
