China is building a test line for trains with speeds up to 1000 km / h

According to the source, the tests will take place in three stages on lines 2 km, 5 km and 15 km long. Peculiarity

project - the train moves in a pipe with partial vacuum.

After testing the train on a special sectionroads, experts plan to create a magnetic suspension that will accelerate vehicles to 3000 and even 4000 km/h. The train will move faster than an airliner, approximately at the speed of a pistol bullet, covering 300 meters per second.

In order to reduce the costs of operating high-speed maglev trains, the power supply of electromagnets will be realized using superconductivity effects.

A pilot line for testing has already been built in Chinaconcepts using relatively inexpensive liquid nitrogen for cooling. Trains with speeds of 1000 km/h or more are likely to be put into operation by the end of this decade.
