China showed the J-20 fighter: the military is hiding its technical characteristics

made in China.In general, the development of the aircraft started in the late nineties, and ten years ago the first prototype of the J-20 took off. The fighter was designed and built using a canard aerodynamic design. Let us recall that with this design, the aircraft has a horizontal tailplane located in front of the main wing. It was called that because one of the first such aircraft, Santos Dumont’s 14 bis, reminded eyewitnesses of a duck. The aircraft's all-moving fins have a large angle of deviation to the sides from the longitudinal axis, and the engine nacelles are located under the wings.

Officially, the Chinese military is hiding technicalcharacteristics of J-20. Experts suggest that it is just over 20 meters long, has a wingspan of 13.5 meters, and a maximum take-off weight of about 36 tons. It is assumed that the fighter can reach speeds of up to 2100 km / h. In China, it is ranked as the fourth generation, but its characteristics are more consistent with the fifth.

Now the plane is in staticdisplays at the exhibition, which will last from September 28 to October 3. The show was originally scheduled to take place in November 2020, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The J-16D aircraft was also shown at the exhibition.It has several differences from the basic J-16. For example, the new product has a shorter nose, and engineers also removed the infrared search and tracking sensor in front of the cabin.
The aircraft is statically equipped with two missiles, presumably air-to-air.
