China starts issuing digital dog passports with nose prints

Dog owners in China have a new opportunity - to get a digital passport for their pet with

the print of his nose. The innovation helps to find an animal if it is lost and to protect its rights if it is stolen.

In order to use the service, you need to install an application from Alibaba on your smartphone, capture the pet's nose with the camera, and subsequently obtain a digital ID. Thus, all data about the dog falls into the general database of the police, which allows officers to recognize the animal if it walks along the street without an owner.
