China to expand Tiangong space station for tourists

Chinese authorities launched the last of the three main modules of the Tiangong space station only at the end

last year. However, engineers are already planning further development of the station. At an exhibition at the National Museum of China, designers presented a design for a new module.

It is reported that the new multifunctional modulewill include six docking ports, meaning it can accommodate more spacecraft. Probably, this development is connected with the country's plans to attract space tourists and develop flights to the Tiangong station.

It is not yet known when and how the newmodule. But the Chinese authorities have already announced their intention to send cosmonauts and astronauts from other countries to the Tiangong, as well as jointly organize and conduct space experiments.

The Tiangong space station was assembled according toparts of three separate modules launched consecutively during the year. This is the only manned station in Earth orbit besides the ISS. Previously, Hi-Tech spoke in detail about the "settlement" of people in near-Earth orbit.
