China's first rover sent photos from Mars

Chinese researchers have published the first photographs taken by the Zhurong rover on Krasnaya

planet. One of the pictures shows the landscape of the space in front of the robot, which is located on the landing platform. On the other, the solar panels of the Zhurong rover are visible.

The rover landed on the planet on Sundayearly morning Beijing time. Thus, China has become only the second country after the United States to successfully land a probe on the surface of Mars and control it for a long time.

Chinese scientists hope the six-wheeled robot will last for at least 90 Martian days while in the Utopia Planitia region, a vast area in the planet's northern hemisphere.

China National Space Administration(CNSA) posted photos on its website. The researchers also filmed several short videos that capture the moment the rover's airsuit - the capsule that used it to enter the Martian atmosphere - detached from the Tianwen 1 orbiter, which delivered the rover to the planet.

Scientists noted that deployment is criticalimportant equipment after landing was carried out cleanly. The device was able to successfully deploy solar panels to power the robot, launching an antenna for communication with Tianwen 1 and other controllers in China.
