Chinese automaker showed a "dancing" electric supercar

Chinese automaker BYD introduced the four-engine supercar Yangwang Dancing U9. Electric car uses

new DiSus body control system.According to the company, the U9 is equipped with "the most advanced suspension system in the industry in the world" and allows the electric vehicle to dance, ride on three wheels and even jump.

The system offered by BYD is similar to the systemsactive suspension used in advanced vehicles from Porsche (Dynamic Chassis Control) and Mercedes-Benz (Magic Body Control). The system helps to reduce body roll, withstand difficult off-road situations, reduce aerodynamic drag and improve handling efficiency.

DiSuS helps eliminate riskvehicle rollover. According to Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD, this reduces the movement of passengers when cornering at high speed, hard acceleration or emergency braking. In addition, it protects the car from scratches and damage in various road conditions, including snow, mud and water.

The DiSus system is divided into three levels:Intelligent Body Damping Control System (DiSus-C), Intelligent Body Pneumatic Control System (DiSus-A), and Intelligent Body Hydraulic Control System (DiSus-P).

DiSus-C system can adjust dampingelectric vehicle by controlling the damper solenoid valve, which can significantly improve driving comfort compared to vehicles with passive suspension. The pneumatic control system, in turn, can include a dozen different height modes, including speed control, welcome mode, easy access mode, and height lock mode.

DiSus-P, on the other hand, is the mostan advanced system that can control the shock oil supply, damping adjustment valve and stiffness adjustment valve to achieve dynamic body control adjustment. The system provides an immediate 200% increase in stiffness for better handling when the electric vehicle is in hard acceleration and deceleration or at high speeds in corners, the company says.

This intelligent system also offersadjustable suspension up to 200 mm and can lift each wheel independently or all four at the same time. When the vehicle encounters crashes and other off-road emergencies, the system can activate the third stage of emergency hardening, effectively reducing shock loading by 50 percent, the company added.
