Hiper, a Chinese electronics manufacturer, has agreed to pre-install the Astra operating system
The first batch of computers with Astra Linux systemwill be 2,200 devices. All of them are intended for the private market, and not for state institutions. The developer of the operating system, the Astra group of companies, hopes that this is only the first partner and the network of manufacturers who will use Astra Linux as a pre-installed system will grow.
The company told Kommersant that the firstthe party will be sold in the middle price segment from 35 thousand rubles. At the same time, it will include six models that will run on different processors from Intel Core (i3, i5, i7, i11) or AMD Razen 5. In addition, models will be offered with 8 or 16 GB of RAM and an SSD- drive for 256 and 512 GB.
The main difficulty to faceusers is the low compatibility of popular applications with Linux-based operating systems, experts interviewed by the publication note. To solve this problem, the Ministry of Digital Development may introduce a mandatory requirement for the compatibility of all applications with Linux to be included in the register of domestic software.
Recall that inclusion in the register gives suppliers advantages when participating in public procurement tenders, which account for a significant part of the hardware and software market.
