Chinese revenge for Pelosi's visit to Taiwan could hit iPhone shipments

Media reported that Apple has warned its suppliers of possible retaliation from China for controversial

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan. China's reaction may disrupt the supply of iPhones and/or their components.

China has already expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the visit,using a range of measures, from imposing sanctions on Pelosi and her family to military exercises near Taiwan. Now measures can extend to the technological sphere.

Pelosi is known to have dated a TaiwaneseiPhone assembler Pegatron. After that, information appeared that China blocked the supply of Pegatron from Chinese factories. Apple has warned its suppliers that China is imposing customs regulations that could result in import and export requests being rejected.
