Chinese scientists say they have detected an alien signal. Their article was immediately removed.

According to a report published in Science and Technology Daily, the official newspaper of the Ministry of Science and Technology,

Researchers from Beijing Normal University have discovered "several possible technological traces of extraterrestrial civilizations beyond Earth."

According to scientists, the signals are identified fromusing the world's largest spherical radio telescope "Heavenly Eye" with an aperture of 500 meters. It is located in the southwest of China and is called FAST. The telescope began operation on September 25, 2016.

In September 2020, Sky Eye, located insouthwestern Chinese province of Guizhou and with a diameter of 500 meters, has officially begun the search for extraterrestrial life. According to the article, the team found two sets of suspicious signals in 2020 while processing data collected in 2019 and found another suspicious signal in 2022.

Cosmologist Zhang Tongjie, Chief ScientistChinese Research Group on Extraterrestrial Civilizations, said it had detected "several narrow-band electromagnetic signals different from the past." However, he also noted that they could just be radio interference.

“The possibility that the suspicious signal is radio interference is also very high and needs to be further confirmed and ruled out. This process will take time,” Tongjie said.

It is noteworthy that without explaining the reasons, the articleremoved from the Science and Technology Daily website, Bloomberg reports. However, it was spread on the social network Weibo and other media, including state media.
