Fundraising for ChopBox, the world’s first (as the manufacturer claims) “smart” cutting station, has ended on Kickstarter

What can
The board is made of bamboo and visually consistsfrom several sections. On the large one you cut products, and on the small one you weigh them thanks to the built-in electronic scales. The exact weight is displayed on the board below. You can also set a timer here to time your cooking.

If there is not enough space on the board, an additional surface extends from below, on which you can also cut food.

But that’s not all: there are knife sharpeners on the side, and if you place the knives between the main and additional boards, their sterilization begins using an ultraviolet lamp.

Inside there is a 3000 mAh battery, one charge of which will last up to 30 days of operation. The board is charged from the USB port.

Despite the presence of scales, batteries and other electronics, ChopBox is not afraid of water, so it can be safely washed.

Price
The first customers paid $159 for ChopBoxand will be the first to receive it - already next month. The more thrifty ones paid $99 and agreed to wait until December. The retail price of the smart board will be $199.
Initially, the authors planned to raise $10,000 on Kickstarter, and as a result they collected almost $1.8 million.
