Users around the world are experiencing problems accessing many popular resources.
What happened
Initially it was assumed that they stopped workingcloud services Amazon Web Services, but the reason turned out to be different. A failure occurred in the content distribution network (CDN) of Fastly. This is an intermediate link between resource servers and the end user. The CDN accesses a copy of the data stored in a nearby data center, thereby reducing loading times. But something went wrong. According to DownDetector, outages have been observed on Disqus, Twitch, Reddit, Veimo, CNN, IGN, The Verge, The New York Times, The Guardian and other websites.
Breaking: the internet. Huge parts of the web are currently offline, including Reddit, Twitch, and (regrettably) The Verge. We’ll keep you posted

Some users are also experiencing problems displaying images and emoji on Twitter, but the social network itself is still working.
Updated 1:Apparently, the problem is not with Amazon, as we assumed earlier, but with its competitor Fastly. The CDN (Content Delivery Network) appears to have crashed.
Updated 2:company Fastly confirmed the failure and is already working on fixing it.
