Compare Redmi Note 8T, Realme 5 Pro and Huawei Nova 5z

The new budget flagship from Xiaomi on the global market is called Redmi Note 8T, not Redmi Note 8. And most importantly

The difference between these two versions is8T has NFC. The phone turned out, as they say, what we needed, but it has many competitors on the market. And even though its predecessor was a bestseller, that doesn't mean the Redmi Note 8T — This is the best option you can buy. It all depends on your needs.

Feature Comparison

In this article, we compared Redmi Note 8T with twophones, which, in our opinion, are among the best in the middle class segment: Realme 5 Pro and Huawei Nova 5z. Both devices are full mid-range devices with well-balanced features, like the Redmi Note 8T. But then which one to choose?

Design

In my opinion, the design — one of the mostHuawei Nova 5z's strengths for one big reason — this is the display. With the Nova 5z, you can say goodbye to notch screens and get a large display with no notches or notches, just a small hole in the screen for the selfie camera.

In addition, Huawei Nova 5z is morecompact smartphone thanks to a slightly smaller display, as well as a lighter device. Redmi Note 8T and Realme 5 Pro are aesthetically similar, both have a reflective glass back, plastic frames and a drop-shaped display. In each option, you get a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Display

Redmi Note 8T, Realme 5 Pro and Huawei Nova 5zhave similar screen sizes and IPS technology. But the Huawei Nova 5z offers slightly better quality due to the higher DCI P3 coverage. This is not something that you can immediately notice when you first get acquainted with the phone, but even a small difference is always appreciated on the smartphone display.

Unfortunately, none of these devices haveAMOLED display, so you can't count on an under-display fingerprint scanner. An important difference is the display design with a hole for the front camera, characteristic of Huawei Nova 5z, instead of the classic cutouts of Redmi Note 8T and Realme 5 Pro.

Specifications and Software

This year Huawei released an amazingthe mid-range chipset that is on board the Huawei Nova 5z. We're talking about the Kirin 810: it's very powerful and built on a 7nm process, just like the flagship chipsets. However, I would not choose Huawei Nova 5z for a simple reason — memory configurations. I would go for the most expensive configuration of the Realme 5 Pro with Snapdragon 712 as it has 8GB RAM and internal storage that can be expanded via micro SD, rather than opting for the Huawei Nova 5z and getting less RAM. The Redmi Note 8T is inferior to both the Realme 5 Pro and the Huawei Nova 5z as it is powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset. In each case, you get Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Camera

If we talk about the main cameras, then with each ofof these devices you get a more or less the same camera. They include a main 48-megapixel sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a special macro camera and a depth sensor. Huawei Nova 5z has worse performance for additional sensors, so Redmi Note 8T and Realme 5 Pro should show themselves in shooting a little better in many scenarios. But the Huawei Nova 5z has a much better selfie camera. The Redmi Note 8T isn’t something special for taking a selfie, and the Realme 5 Pro is in the middle.

Battery

The battery capacity is the same on all of thesedevices, so there will be approximately the same battery life. Huawei Nova 5z has a more efficient chipset, so it should provide longer battery life in many scenarios. Please note that Huawei Nova 5z and Realme 5 Pro have slightly faster charging technology.

Price

Each of these devices can be purchased at a price.about $ 220, but which one is better? In my opinion, Huawei Nova 5z due to its excellent display, best selfie camera and amazing chipset, but not for all users. Some may prefer Realme 5 Pro because of its splash resistance or Redmi Note 8T because of its NFC connectivity. The last aspect today is a priority for many of us. In any case, all three of these phones are cool, considering their cost.
