Some time ago, the Turkish company Baykar and the Ukrainian government announced the construction of a plant
What is known
According to the ambassador, work is not frozen nowand the plant will definitely be built: “Approximately a month ago, the ratification of the agreement on the creation of this plant by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was completed, this agreement must also be ratified by the Turkish side, then ratification documents must be exchanged for the agreement to come into force. This is the formal side of the matter."
At the same time, Baykar has already created an enterprisebought land, is preparing communications, and has designed a plant and a center for research and training. As previously reported, the total area of the plant will exceed 30,000 square meters, and the number of Ukrainian engineers and technicians will be more than 300 people.
“Unfortunately, the war made adjustmentsto the original plans for the plant. So far, the pace planned for the preparation of project documentation, obtaining licenses, and ratifying the deal has been maintained even taking into account the ongoing hostilities. It is clear that this is a military-industrial facility; there is a threat that it may be subject to a missile attack. And this was said by the aggressor country. According to preliminary calculations, by two years the plant should be built and the first drones should roll off the conveyors,” emphasized Vasily Bodnar.
At this plant they plan to assemble not onlyBayraktar TB2, but also the Akıncı heavy drone, the Kızılelma unmanned fighter, as well as other equipment of the company. Akıncı UAVs will use Ukrainian MS-500 and AI-450 engines, depending on the client’s choice, and Kızılelma will be equipped with Ukrainian AI-25 engines.
