If before the epidemic the authorities successfully disposed of 40 tons of medical waste that cannot be recycled into new things, then after the outbreak the volume of waste increased six times - up to 240 tons. We are talking about medical masks, gloves, suits and disposable gloves.

First, the waste was sent to treatment facilitiesin 28 cities closest to Wuhan, however, after they were fully loaded, 46 mobile waste disposal units were delivered to the city. In addition, the authorities in 15 days built a new waste recycling plant with a capacity of 30 tons.
